Montana rarely gets into the national news, but when it does, it is almost always for the wrong reasons. One of these reasons is the ridiculously absurd lawsuits that our supposedly non-partisan judges handle against the Montana legislature and in favor of leftist organizations. Here are a few examples of such cases:

• District Court Judge Kathy Seeley was the FIRST judge to rule in favor of radical environmentalists who used children to sue Montana for “violating their constitutional right to a clean and healthful environment by allowing fossil fuel development.”

• Yellowstone County District Court Judge Kurt Krueger struck down HB 136, which banned elective abortion at 20 weeks, HB 171, which banned abortions via telehealth, and HB 140, which required providers to offer ultrasound so women could make informed decisions.

• Missoula County District Court Judge Jason Marks issued the preliminary injunction preventing enforcement of SB99, the bill that banned medical transitioning of youths diagnosed with gender dysphoria but too young to provide informed consent. SB99 also made doctors prescribing medical transitioning liable for misdiagnosing and mistreatment.

These are just a few examples of how supposedly non-partisan but de-facto politically motivated judges collude with Leftist organizations and disregard not only our constitutional rights but common sense.

Montanans cannot ignore the politicization of our Judiciary branch and must get actively involved in electing judges committed to protecting the Constitution.
